KidWind風力エネルギーワークショップが東勢中学校で初開催:26名の生徒が自作の風力タービンを製作

In partnership with National Chiayi University, our association held a KidWind wind energy competition outreach event and themed workshop at Dongshi Junior High School in Chiayi County. A total of 26 junior high students took part, experiencing the appeal of green-energy education through a curriculum that combined theory with hands-on practice.

The morning session was led by AESEA Chairman Professor Chou Chien-heng and Professor Su Chiung-wu of National Chiayi University, covering the fundamentals of wind power generation and the essentials of blade design, enriched with multimedia demonstrations and interactive Q&A that sparked students' thinking about renewable energy. The afternoon focused on hands-on work: students assembled miniature wind turbine models in teams and tested their power output in a large wind tunnel, continually refining their designs along the way and demonstrating the spirit of scientific inquiry and teamwork.

We firmly believe the KidWind Challenge is more than a competition — it is a learning journey that sparks creativity and unites theory with practice. Through outreach like this, students can apply classroom knowledge to real engineering design, building hands-on skills and problem-solving thinking. We hope to continue bringing green-energy education to more campuses, inspiring more teachers and students to join the pursuit of sustainable development.

Finally, our special thanks go to Dongshi Junior High School Principal Lin Tzu-chin, whose strong support made this event a complete success.
